I just spent so much time worrying about how it would all turn out that i'm so happy I'm happy!
that's great you were able to work it out with your seamstress to get a bustle you love. I saw a dress similar to yours that was bustled asymmetrically to match the front, like where the dress had pickups in the front it was bustled to look like pickups came around the back and the rest swept up to the side to match the draping in the back... it's so cool what a good seamstress can do!

Okay - so originally my precious seamstress was going to do a straight up, simple, American bustle. Which was fabulous, because I do have a little "bling" on the bac that folded up nicely. The problem? we werent in love.
But now, I am. You cant see it nearly as well in the pictures, but I had to share!Not only did I choose the dress that everyone voted for (DEF the best pick of them now looking back!) http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/oh-my-gosh-help-me-with-the-dress-search but now i'm in love with the bustle as well! It went from pretty to perfect!
This picture makes it look sort of messy, but in real life it drapes so well and looks great! She did a great job, and i'm very happy with it! And i had to share with someone! :)
