I bought a coin ring for my SO as an enegagement present for him once he proposes to me. It is made out of a 1915 Canadian Penny, and it is beautiful. I am so excited it’s here and now I’m even more anxious for himt o propose so I can give it to him! Though I hope it fits because I just guessed his size.
Come on SO! Do it Do it!

I bought it off of etsy from this seller.
He makes coin rings out of US and Canadian coins. They are awesome. Here’s the one I bought.

OOH! I LOVE them! I’m tempted to get one for my fiance as a silly wee present for his birthday.

They are really affordable and they feel great. The craftmanship is very well done. You can’t even see where he has cut the inside to make it from a flat coin to a round ring. I am thinking of getting a canadian nickel one for myself!

Oh how cool! I’ve seen coin rings before, but nothing that beautiful! Very original and, hey, its recycling!

That’s a beautiful ring! When you first mentioned a coin ring, I was thinking of those Chinese panda coin rings that were popular in the 90’s. This is much more lovely! I hope he likes it!

I checked out this guy’s store and it rocks! I’m thinking about getting one for SO for Christmas. Unfortunately, the one I really like is the Buffalo head nickel, and it doesn’t come in my size 🙁
Oh well. I do kinda wonder how he’s flying under the U.S. Mint’s radar. It seems that they would own the trademark on the designs of the coins…
