Oh that's great!  Dang, lots of candy!  Did you have a lot leftover?  What all did you have in there?

That is great! I second the question of how much and what kind of candy did you have!

    That is awesome!!!

I would also like to know how many pounds for each container and what type of candy in each. I am planning to do a candy buffet, but I don't know how many pounds of candy to get for each container. If you could just go across each row and let us know how many pounds and what type of candy; so we can get a size reference, for each container, I would greatly appreciate it.

I bet your guests loved it :-)

Thanks for the compliments, gals!  I had about 16 types of candy, and about 10 lbs each.  I had about 190 guests.  It was very popular!  and would you know tons of guests had never seen one before or even heard of a candy buffet!  I'd often see long lines waiting to get some.  There were left overs, but honestly not too much, according to my mom, who took it all home.   I would say maybe 5 lbs left over??

Let me see if I can recall them all:

    1. laffy taffy (minus apple and banana)2. dove milk choc hearts 3. palmer fudge hearts 4. fudge filled dum dums 5. peanut m&ms (took out the red ones) 6. strawberry marshmallows 7. fruit smoothie jelly bellys 8. gummy sweet tart hearts 9. valentine mike and ike mix 9. bliss raspberry filled choc hearts 10. raspberry hugs 11. caramel filled kisses 12. old fashioned candy sticks 13. strawberry milkshake whoppers 14. starburst favoreds (reds only) 15. fruit smoothie jolly ranchers 16. can't think of it!

The laffy taffy and starbursts were attacked--not a single piece left over!

I got everything from local stores, no online shopping bc I didn't find any deals.  I went to Target and Schnucks (local grocery store) for most of it.  It was mostly Valentine's day candy-- and everything was very fresh by June.  Also went to Dollar Tree (fudge hearts, dum dums, marshmallows, jolly ranchers).  Walmart for whoppers.  oh, I did get the candy sticks from Oriental Trading Co. online. They were on clearance!

Doing the candy buffet was so fun for me!!  Since I got most candy in Feb, it wasn't stressful at all!

That looks AMAZING! Great job! Did you find that it was expensive?  I was considering having one, but didn't want to spend a lot of extra money on something like that.

Thank you for the information :-)

Are you saying that each container held about 10 pounds?

Oh, I just saw the post by noritake!

As a general rule, I got 10 lbs of mostly everything like the chocolates, kisses, m&ms, mike& ike, chewy sweettarts.

Got 4 lobs of jelly bellys.  Marshmallows, I got 3 bags of them. Laffy taffy, I got two 7 lb bags and took out 2 flavors, which cut down quite a bit.  For the M&Ms I did get 10 lbs and took out the reds, so I would say I only had a bout 6 lbs bc there's tons of red unfortunately!

When I have a bit more time I will go thru and tell you one by one according to the picture, like you asked for.  I'd be happy to do that!

As far as price, I did keep most receipts, then it got all jumbled up, but I would estimate that I spent about $400 including containers.  Let me go home to my receipts and I can give you a better idea though!
