I just got woken up by my cat (I’m staying at my mom’s house right now due to a family emergancy). She apparently has taken up the habit of carting around socks, and then dropping them, and HOWLING at them. It seriously sounds like she’s in pain or being kicked or something. And it echos in the house. I’ve had to go and grab three socks from her tonight alone.
Anyone else’s pets do odd things?

haha- do you no normally have socks at home? maybe shes practicing her hunting skills and is howling to let you know what she found?
My cat is very strange- when he wants feeding he will lie on his back and look at you as if to say, mummy if you dont feel me now i will starve to death and look like this…
and he will sit in the rabbit hutch…like this…

Haha, my little kitty brings us her toys (or travel kleenex packs, when she can find them) and does this at night. She’s so proud! She also lays on her back basically all the time.

Well I actually have 8 cats, but I’ve pawned them all off on my family members so that they can make their lives better! =)
So while i call her my cat, I guess she’s really more of my moms. She’s being really weird though. She does this a lot apparently. I was warned not to leave socks laying around.
Here’s the weird one and her sister. The weird one is Nemo (the one on the left), and the stressed out one on the right is Chaos.

My dog is super weird – when it’s shark week, he goes completely berserk near me, keeps sniffing me and jumping up etc. Once it’s over he’s back to normal. I didn’t even know animals can sense these things (unless he has a REALLY powerful sense of smell or something lol. Then again he’s a lab!)
He loves cheese. And carrots. And other vegetables. He loves loves LOVES bananas. He is scared of the vacuum cleaner and the hose, and the minute either of these are switched off, he starts ‘attacking’/playing with them. He’s taught himself to open doors and will help himself to anything and everything chewable…
He’s just weird in so many ways. He falls asleep to classical music, loves Eric Clapton, hates Jimi Hendrix (boooo!), and loves watching a show with me called The Jeremy Kyle show (our version of Jerry Springer).

Well my dog’s got three legs, his favorite hobby is licking the floor, and his favorite food is carrots.

Mine does the EXACT sock thing. At like 4am. Daily. Apparently it’s prime sock time. I love my cat, but she probably thinks her name is “fucking cat,” at this point.

@the_future_mrs: REALLY?! Is there anything that stops it? All I’ve found is taking the sock away from her. She doesn’t respond to yelling, stomping, compressed air or spray water. She’ll just pick up her sock, move further away from me, and continue meowing!
Animals are weird. I don’t understand them at all.

My little on Autumn is a loveable weirdo. She plays fetch, she gives standing hugs and a kiss when we come home and she’ll eat ANYTHING. Her favourite is pizza. Don’t mess with this kitty when she smells pizza lol

@Lyndzo: lol. My former foster kitty ate EVERYTHING, and he was bold about getting his food, too. He once stole an entire slice of pizza from DH’s plate (which was right in his lap). It was insane.

I think cats are just weird in general. My cat sleeps on my head at night. :/

@cirk: my cat does the same thing 🙁 but with his blanket and his toys. It’s seriously weird and he cries so loudly that I acutally think he’ll wake up the neighbours at night. I tried the stomping and trying to get his attention thing too but it never works. It’s like he’s possessed by something lol

He loves me sooooooooo much.
