Will look great with those fresh rose petals! You don’t even need the tealights, necessarily.

looks great

just make sure your venue allows candles that aren’t covered by glass….I could use any candles I wanted as long as the flame was shorter than the candle holder it was in

With the rose petals, I think it will look GORGEOUS.

Sidenote: glad you’re going with fresh petals! Rose petals are so fragrant. Your whole reception room will smell gorgeous too!

You lucky you get to use real candles…my venue doesn’t allow them at all, not even if they were inside a vase. So I have been trying to come up with alternative ideas. I think your moms mock-up looks great. And I agree with PP that you probably won’t need the tealights once you have petals surrounding the candles. Be careful…it might not look as pretty once the wax starts to drip.

Very lovey – I don’t think the tea lights are crucial, unless you add a few more and make them look “scattered”… Other than that – the fresh petals are going to elevate it from pretty to romantic glam!! Great job!

@gingernutjo:  OK, I didn’t think about the timing of burning the candles. I bet is it going to look beautiful…especially inside of a castle. I looked for battery operated candles to go with my hurricane vases (16 vases were giving to me for free). Real candles would definitely look better. The pic below is of a fake candle (sorry pic is so freaking big) plus they are 15.99 each, multiply that by 16! I could get 40% off but that is still too much $ to me.

Snap!

I’m getting the same lace look dish, filling it with a mix of candles and jam jars filled with flowers….oh and we are decorating our flowers and jam jars with lace and ribbons!

I love your look, thanks for posting, the rose petals is such a fantastic idea.

@gingernutjo:  That will look great with the petals.  I hope you are spilling the petals out from the center of the candles to the tealights.
