@FutureMollyGibson:  Thanks for the detailed inside look, this is great!!! We all know Disney is pricey, but you did your research and made the price very doable.

(may I add, that there is a little edit needed in your post. the line “my fiance’s husband is a preacher” may need a correction)

This is interesting! We spent about what you’re spending for a 100% different wedding. It’s fascinating to me where different people’s priorities lie.

A few questions:

Does this include admission to any parks? What other costs are you incurring on top of the $2500 wedding and $1080 in hotel stays?

Is your officiant included in the “guest” count? How can they limit your guest #? Couldn’t anyone who wanted to just stand nearby?

What about a reception?

Does the 1 hour of photography include prints, and is it 1 hour including the ceremony or in addition to it?

Are you taking care of any of your guests’ expenses?

@FutureMollyGibson:  wow what a very detailed description, thank you!! I really love the idea of a disney wedding but I just dont know if I could limit guests so low. It is certainly an option though! And Yes im curious to the questions that @jmarvellous has too! Does it include admission to the park? I just LOVE disney! Would love to see pictures when you get them!

and congrats!!!!!!

@FutureMollyGibson:  We live near Disneyland, CA and made the decision to have the Escape wedding.  I am so glad to hear that you had such a good experience!  Please keep us posted!  I can’t wait to ‘set’ the date!

We are having a Wishes wedding. It’s about $20 000 (including all taxes, service fees and gratuities) for the whole thing including two hours in Magic kingdom and Epcot for bridal portraits before the parks open on a different day. Our ceremony is at the Wedding Pavilion and our reception is in the Tamu Tamu courtyard in the Animal Kingdom after the park closes…we will be the only people in the park and we will get to take more pictures there as well.

We could have done it for less however photography is very important to us and is costing about a third of our budget. The prices of some things were up there (flowers!) but most of it was not bad compared to other places.

We receive free annual passes, watches and a free night at the hotel of our choice as well.
