I just received the wedding invitations in the mail on Friday from my coworker who’s getting married next month. HE created and DIY’d the invites. Him. The GROOM. ALL BY HIMSELF… So major props to my friend, the groom with GUTS!!!
I told T, my guy, about how my coworker made, their wedding invites and he said "hey sweetheart..I’ll agree on an invitation with you, go see them, but I don’t think I have the qualifications to actually pick one out muchless MAKE one. I can pick out food though! And I’m good with cake." (isn’t that cute?)

Ya know what…I could totally see Mr. H taking over on invitations if we decide to DIY. We spent this weekend trying to decide on a piece of art for a big wall space in the dining room. We went to Michael’s, he bought a large blank canvas, I went online & picked out a pic with gerbera daisies, and he drew & painted 8 of them onto the canvas. (nevermind that it was a piece of art we were going to paint together) he paints, I don’t, & it’s stunning!
I love knowing that when we get to the planning he’s going to be all up in it with me (even though he’s a hardcore tough welder man).
He’s soooo all about the food Bellenga!!! LOL. I think we could have the wedding in our (small, weird, ski-slope-like) backyard & as long as he could be assured the food was good it would be perfect.

Fiance and future SS are going our invites, I just get final veto power. Since SS is 16, I am THRILLED he wants to have a part in the wedding prep!!!

I think it’s awesome when the guys get involved! T is saying he’d let me handle all the "aesthetics" (as he put it) but I know he is going to want to have somewhat of a style say too! If I decide to do DIY stuff (like the idea for the photo centerpieces we discussed yesterday) I know he’ll get involved. Give him something to make or fix? He’s happy! I swear when he put together my son’s bmx bicycle for Christmas he was a very happy guy!

We’re working on ours together with fiance manning the computer and me providing the design advice. Together we’ll get this done, even if it is taking forever!

Hahaha! Not only did my Fi help pick out the invitations, he turned out to be better than me at assembling them! Honestly, he’s just a lot more crafty than I am. I always say he makes a much better bride than I do!

Like Mrs. Spring, my Fiance ended up being that Master of Ribbon when it came down to invitations.
He got to pick out all the food, booze and cake too 😉 Gotta let them have their fun!

Haha, that’s awesome! I love involved grooms! My Fiance isn’t horrible because he’ll give me his opinion, but really, as long as I’m happy he’s happy. It’s also hard for him because the wedding is in my hometown and we live in his. That’s funny that your fiance said he is good with food and cake, that’s how mine is! Last night we were having this conversation about how some grooms are really involved, and he said, "I’m involved, ask me something and I’ll decide." I showed him a picture of the cake I like and want to replicate and his response was, "Will it be chocolate? If it is, let’s do it." I had to laugh…
