We need options to vote! I’m not a huge fan of the kite set though. It’s a gorgeous setting though!

rosegoldgirl:  That is definitely a unique look, can’t say I’ve ever seen another set like that. Personally I think I would rather it be set in the traditional way, I think it would bother me to see such a large gap between the center and the halo. I would feel differently if the whole halo and center stone were kite set together. Right now it looks too ‘unfinished’ IMO.

I would definitely get it set like a traditional princess cut, especially with your halo. The way it’s set now makes a very obvious gap between and I just don’t think it looks right.

Your ring is very beautiful, enjoy 🙂

rosegoldgirl:  Your ring is beautiful!! I also think a traditional set would look best in your particular ring. I think princess stones are beautiful when they are kite set, but having it set the traditional way in your ring would go so well with the halo to give it a gorgeously vintage appearance.

In the end, though, you should follow your heart and do whatever makes you the happiest. Your ring will be beautiful no matter what, so you can’t go wrong as long as you love what you end up with.

The ring is gorgeous but I’m going to go against the grain and say keep the kite! It’s strikingly different and totally eye-catching. A traditionally set princess cut would just make it look like lots of other princess cuts with halos.

I think it would look better if it was turned, very pretty ring btw!

I would choose option #3.  Keep it kite set, and add colored stone (pink, blue or yellow diamond, sapphire, ruby, or emerald) trillions in the 4 corners of the halo.

Not a fan of the kite; would rather have a traditional setting.

I’m a huge fan of the kite setting but in a halo setting I think she needs to set it the traditional way.  It looks really strange currently.

Switch it. It does not quite look right to my eye.

Switch.  You didn’t ask for kite, and may think it’s ok now, but you may regret it.  I love princess cut, but the kite makes it look like a squarish marquise.
