- Wedding: May 2013
Sooooo excited right now! FI and I have been engaged since Valentine’s Day 2012 and the most time consuming part of this wedding plan has been my fault because I just couldn’t decide on a wedding ring set that I really loved. He proposed with a small inexpensive ring, knowing I would want to pick something unique out and I’ve been wearing this ring for a year unable to decide!
We are both active duty military and are stationed in a small town. There’s no jewelry store here that can custom order/make rings and I was alright with ordering online if I could have found a trusted source but every time I contacted someone I got an outrageous overpriced quote or not the design I was looking for or “sorry ma’am we can’t do that.” And trust me I wasn’t asking for anything difficult, I just really wanted something unique and different and simply stated. So, after hours upon hours and days upon days of web surfing and research I finally decided to just custom order what I want.
Two weekends ago, FI and met up with my closest friend of 20 years and her hubby on a kid free weekend trip to Vegas. It was great (totally off topic of my ring) but it was very important to me that FI and BFF meet seen as they haven’t been able to between us being stationed on the other side of the country and one of the two of us always being deployed when we make plans to visit home. Anywho…the four of us had a wonderful weekend visit and decided that we would go to a jeweler in town while we were there and take advantage of finally being in a big enough city to be able to ring shop. One of the first places we stopped at? Jack Weinstein’s Tower of Jewels…Nevada’s largest manufacturing jeweler and direct diamond importer and cutter; perfect!! After amazing customer service, no pushy sales person trying to get me to buy something I didn’t like or I couldn’t afford we had designed not only my wedding set but a ring for hubby too!! I’m so excited and I can’t wait to wear my rings!! The designer sent me pics of my rings all done, now we are just on FI ring to be done before they are all shipped. I’m waiting impatiently but thought I’d post the pics to share
The first pic is my inspiration photo posted by another bee on a rose gold blog. Next pic is my e-ring alone then lastly, my e-ring and two bands stacked (the middle is white gold and the bottom is rose gold). That do you think?
