I'm going to be interested in the answer to this. I just had a 42 day cycle. Wth?! Last month I was around 32 days. SO strange!!
@OttawaBride2011: i went through the same thing that you are. as soon as i came off bc, my cycles were super unpredictable. i know you said you're not TTC yet, but it doesn't hurt to figure out what's going on. i would encourage you to schedule an appointment with your OBGYN who can help, or if not, refer you to an RE.
How many months have you been off the BC? Is it possible you're not menstruating?
I've been off the pill for about 4 months and am on my third cycle... I haven't been charting so maybe I should try that to confirm ovulation? I have definitely been getting my period but I know that's not necessarily confirmation...
I would chart for a few cycles to confirm ovulation. It can take a while for your cycle to get back to normal after coming off hormonal bc, so don't be surprised if that number fluctuates a bit for a few cycles. Keep in mind that there are things that can delay ovulation and lengthen your cycle, too: stress, sickness, and cysts are things that can have a noted effect.
My cycle is about 37 days and now (after over a year of charting) I am working to shorten it, naturally. There are things that can help, but I wouldn't jump the gun.
Good luck!
I would start charting and setup an appt @ the begiining of the year. t can take awhile for your system to regulate itself after being on BC for sometime.
My first month off BC was 31, the second was 40... Then they went back down around 30ish. It's just hard to know what is happening right after you come off BC : (
I always freaked out at the beginning about whether I was ovulating. Charting really does ease your mind (and/or give you ides about what is wrong).
I hope it gets regular soon!

I'm just so frustrated. We are not TTC yet, but I wanted to get off BC to get a head start, and since we'd be ok with a pregnancy we are just using the pull out method right now.
anyway, so far my cycles have been 36 and then 46 days. Today is CD37 and I just felt O signs this weekend (have had sore nipples around O time both cycles). This means I am looking at a 50+ day cycle :( I guess my question is, at what point should I be concerned about this?? What do you ladies think?
