mrstattoo10816:  Are you happy with your ring? If so that is all that matters. And as I am sure you know, kids say a lot of things that they know nothing about.

She’s 6!!!I wouldn’t care if a 85 year old told me my ring was too small, let alone a 6 year old, lol. Where I am from one carat is not small, no.

First of all, your ring is GORGEOUS!

Second of all, your daughter is 6. If she could pick out an engagement ring it would probably look like a”My pretty princess” ring. Lol!

Take what she said with a grain of salt.

Your ring is NOT too small.  Many rings are under 1ct and you designed it, so don’t feel bad about your ring at all!  I know that it can be hurtful when people closest to you say things like that.  I’m sure your daughter did not mean to hurt your feelings.  Do you still love your ring?  Then don’t worry about it!  However, if you want to enhance the stone you have, try a halo setting (if you’re able to upgrade).  My ring is a 1ct stone in a halo setting and it really makes it pop!

mrstattoo10816:  Ah, kids. I don’t know which ring of her aunts she was referring to, but it may even have been costume jewellery. Your ring isn’t even small! Not by any measure. Actually, I think it’s gorgeous! So there.

Your ring should be about YOU, not about someone else’s opinion. There will always be someone with a better, bigger, fancier ring out there somewhere. Be satisfied with what you’ve got and don’t be insecure over it.

Your ring being small is subjective.

To one person it may be huge and to another it’s small. It really doesnt matter as long as you like it.

Sounds like your daughter likes bling and big stones, I do too. That doesnt mean you should have chose anything different.

mrstattoo10816:  can everyone please get over size? So what if it’s small compared to somebody else’s, it’s also big compared to others. Sorry, people are just so dam obsessed with rings and sizes and I’m just over it.

mrstattoo10816:  I’d be more concerned with the your 6 year old believing that the size of your ring correlates to how “really” married you are…….dunno…..I blame Barbie I think, lol.

Your ring is really beautiful. In fact, I was just admiring it on another thread. I love the yellow gold. To me, 1 carat is a big stone. I may be biased though, I think my dainty 1/4 carat looks big on my finger, LOL.
