I had a huge amount of dress regret after ordering my dress, but now that it’s here I know I made the right choice. It’s so light and comfortable, but still structured. And the lace…oh, how I love the lace! It’s too long even though we ordered a shorter length, so it looks like I’ll be wearing 4″ heels since hemming is not something I want to deal with. I plan to slim down/tone up a bit before the wedding so it will require some alterations, but not a whole lot since as of right now it fits nearly perfectly! It is a dress size 12, I wear a street size 8 for anyone wanting reference. Now, what to do for accessories? I had been thinking about a statement necklace, but I’m afraid it would take away from/overpower the delicate nature of the dress. Thoughts???
This is my first real post and I appreciate any help all you wonderful bees have to offer! Thanks!

You look beautiful, i’d say statement necklace, i’m going for one and was also concerned that it would take away from the dress, but it needs that something extra being strapless.

Boy…you are stunning!
I dunno about the statement necklace. I think it would kill that gorgeous minimal silhouette and your insanely beautiful dark head of hair against the white. I would go young and fresh… I would do a minimal necklace and statement hair.
I loved this strapless ensemble I saw on a blog…

Ugh the lace is so beautiful. I’d say a pearl cluster statement necklace, simple earrings … Good pick though, love the dress.

OMG so stunning look at that train! Excellent dress choice. I’d go with a statement necklace as well. 🙂

I tried on that dress, it’s a beautiful dress. It looks gorgeous on you! I would stick with simple jewlery.

I second the idea of statement hair but minimal jewelry. Go for classy and subtle as a guideline and it’ll keep your ensemble looking cohesive. Maybe simple pearl drops earrings?

@twitterpated0315: Thank you so much 🙂 I like your idea of statement hair and simple jewelry. I hadn’t thought of statement hair…probably because I don’t put that much effort into my hair on a daily basis, lol. But for the wedding I (ahem, my hairstylist) definitely could!
I also love that so many of you think a statement necklace would work! I’d go with something mostly pearl if I chose one. I’m not into bling. The dress actually has clear beading on the underlay so incorporating something similar into th jewelry could work too. So many choices!!!!
Thank you all for your kind words and helpful suggestions! I’ve lurked around here for a while, but this is the first time I’ve been brave enough to post for myself – so glad I did 🙂

I wore chandelier earrings that had both pearl and crystal pieces, a simple gold chain with a diamond cross (a present from my DH) and a pearl and crystal bracelet. I really didn’t want my jewellery to take away from the dress and on the day it was all about the dress and the accessories added to it without taking away from it (if that makes any sense :))

Nothing to add except that the Denia is a brilliantly exquisite gown (adore that lace overlay), and you are an absolute stunner, OP (those cheekbones!).
