I think this is fairly normal, but you may want to watch what you eat before bed. Catipillars, really? I've had my e-ring since November and I still check to see if it is still on my hand constantly and I stare at it when I am driving or watching tv. I've never owned anything this expensive and yet so small. So, I am pretty sure worrying comes with the territory.
Here is a link to my wedding ring --but I did not get it at Tiffany's and mine is 18k yellow gold. I printed out a picuture of what I wanted and took it to my jeweler, and he made it for me.
I had an occasional dream like that - and was a compulsive daytime checker - but the dreams mostly stopped the day I received the paperwork on my insurance rider. Diamonds do fall out - I had a girlfriend who vacuumed up one of hers - and my mom actually lost her ring in a huge snowbank one year. If you take your ring in for regular checks and maintenance on the setting (my jeweler recommended annual checks) you probably will never lose a diamond. If the ring is insured, replacing one if you do (or even the whole ring) won't be a big deal. Insure, insure, insure!
I do occasionally (after 5 months now) look down to make sure its still there - becuase I am finally so used to it that I don't feel it!
I check all the time that all of my diamonds are still there. When I first got it, I would check that the ring was still on my finger ... oh ... about every 10 seconds. I think it's normal. But I agree, I've stopped worrying so much now that it's insured.
I have not yet insured my ring. What type of insurance company does one go through for this sort of insurance?
I have business insurance, but not personal property insurance (renter's insurance, etc).
Caliocteach --- your ring is beautiful! My Fi did the same thing, took a polaroid in of a custom design I loved and had a guy make it. The center diamond was suppose to be a Cognac diamond, but he was given his grandmothers diamond so he used that instead. It means even more to me now knowing the stone was hers.
Oh MY Sweetness! your ring...I'm drooling over it. WOWZErS. I love it. I can't go on enough about it. Love the Deco-ness. I live in south beach so I have a soft spot for all things Art Deco.

Anyone have dreams that their diamonds are falling out of their engagement ring?
EVERY NIGHT at some point, my E-ring makes it into my dreams in some form. Whether I'm mining in caves and find it in a catepillars mouth (yeah, it was a late chocolate night), or walking down the street and notice all the stones are gone, is this normal for this to be in the back of my brain so much? Am I the only one paranoid about their ring being damaged???
