Weddingbee boards

Some of you may recall that my fiance is in the midst of studying for the third (and final!) CFA exam.  Since mid-January, I've had one entire day each weekend completely to myself which I thought was the perfect opportunity to work on my extensive list of DIY wedding projects.  I've knocked off the invitations & (50% of) the fabric flowers, and next on my list was our "love birds" themed cake topper.  I'm proud to announce the bodies are DONE - just need to add faces and accessorize.  The top hat (which turned out a little too "Indiana Jones" for me) and veil are just quick mock-ups to see what I like.  I might do a bowtie and hair flower or maybe skip wedding-themed clothes all together and do something based on our hobbies.  This is my first attempt at needle felting, and once I'm a little more comfortable I'd like to try adding our 2 dogs.  After the wedding, I'm hoping to turn these into a Christmas ornament!=)

love them!  super creative...  can't wait to see them complete and with dogs!  i think it's fantastic that you plan to repurpose them too!
