That looks amazing! You did a great job. If I tried to do that they'd both look like "poo-like clay turning into the groom bear" when they were finished, LOL.
amazing!!!! i cant believe that's a DIY topper, looks professional!
Holy cow!!! thats amazing!! ITS PERFECT, seriously....starta business!! :)
!!! you all are so nice! =D
My guest are not that appreciative at all! haha
do they really have etsy potential? maybe If I lose my job, I can do more practice and open a shop? hahaha
This is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. Great job!
here's the more clear pic..
the clay was all dried when I open them, so I have to add water.. I seem to have added too much water, so the bear's rear keep sticking.. so I put them on the mirror which seem to be not as sticky as other surface..
what's a diy project when there's no hiccups right? =)

I made this DIY cake topper using crayola's air dry clay. I heart these animal clay topper, but they are a little expensive. I figure it would be more sentimental if I make these myself and I had experience with air dry clay before. I happen to be in Michaels with a 60% off coupon looking for things to buy with my then-FI, so I brought these clay to give it a try. (the total bill is like 7dollar after we used 60% off for both, I made the veil from yanking off the dress of a bride on a wedding card hehe)
I made bears because bear is the first plush my now-husband gave me. The bear style.. is a little 'insprired' by an etsy seller. I made them 2 weeks before my wedding, otherwise I would have give it a little more thought and personalize it more.
The final product pic is a pro-pic, I can find another clearer one I took later..
pic1 - the clay that I used
pic2 - bride bear onlooking poo-like clay turning into the groom bear (eh um, they are actually his hands)
pic3 - finished product
So brides to be, if you heart these kinda topper like I do, give it a try.
