ok, so I found this link:

    Project Wedding DIY centerpiece

a while back...i loved it and finally took the time today to make my rough draft. what do you guys think?

    my DIY centerpieces!!! : wedding 103 1101copy

    my DIY centerpieces!!! : wedding 103 1102copy

One side will be a wedding picture of a family member (i am into my genealogy and have tons of pics!!!)

my DIY centerpieces!!! : wedding EdToniWedding3

One side will be a thank you poem with our picture (not sure we'll use this poem, I just found it on the 'net as an example):

my DIY centerpieces!!! : wedding Poem</img>

One side will be our wedding party & timeline:

my DIY centerpieces!!! : wedding Timelinecopycopy

and the last side will be the table number:

my DIY centerpieces!!! : wedding Tablenumber

I am really happy with how they came out! I think I will also be purchasing round vases (about the height of the piece) and placing either marbles and a candle or flowers...not sure yet - and putting that inside the lantern...

BUT that WAS the plan. :D

yeah - i'm gonna get some vases that are just about as tall as the piece itself - and either use marbles and a candle or flowers...probably a candle.

btw - sorry about the size, i tried re-sizing...maybe i'll try with firefox.

edit: nope won't work - so sorry about the sizes!!!

These are so awesome! I love that you can incorporate your family and really give your wedding that extra personal touch. IMO, I would keep the poems in there, it really brings everything together.

That's a great idea! I love it. Especially since it could totally stand on its own with nothing else. Very savvy!

If you're on a budget adding a candle will be less expensive than flowers.  If your not, I'd try and see how it looks with flowers.
