We are having an outdoor ceremony by the lake, and a very casual indoor reception. I’m kinda going for a love bird theme.. bird cake topper, birds on the invites, bird houses in the centerpieces, and I’m looking for some inexpensive vintage bird cages to incorporate into the decor. I’m working with a super tight budget, so I’m doing all the decor myself. I’m also trying to do as little flowers as possible. I’m pretty happy with the way the flower cones and the “Mr.” and “Mrs.” signs turned out, but I feel like the centerpieces need something else…. maybe a burlap runner or a wood slice underneath? Any other ideas?

I think you have done a great job. I think you are right though. Something under the centerpiece would help to unify the pieces. A wood slab would be great.
a wood frame without the mirror or picture
a simple tray painted in your colors

I love these!!! Really love the flower cones 🙂 I wanted to do something similar, and it’s encouraging to see someone else make them look so beautiful!

Cute! but what is holding up the letter up? Is it just propped against the vase? Because you dont want to slip and fall when guests touch the table. Also, the centerpiece would look better if it was on some sort of a base/mount such as a 12x 12 square tile or even a square cute of fabric

Looks great! I love, love, love what you did! I personally don’t think your centerpieces need anything more they are so lovely!
