@Tessemasgirl- Thanks! I was really happy with how they all turned out
Your flowers and centerpieces came out beautifully. They look professional. I really like how they don't look "overdone". You know how sometimes less is more? You've definitely hit that nail on the head. Amazing job!
We're DIYing our, as well. I made the bouts, already, but they're fabric with faux flowers. I'm using lavender ($40 online) for 3 bouquets and 7 pin-on corsages and cotton bolls ($20 online) glued onto branches mixed with wildflowers (picked from local fields) for the centerpieces. Hopefully mine come out as lovely as yours did!
@vagabondgurl: I love bouquets and centerpieces I have seen with lavender and cotton-- I am sure they will turn out beautifully! Make sure you post pictures!
@Tessemasgirl: I never really thought I was going to care about my bouquet that much, but then my MOH put it together and showed it to me and I was IN LOVE!
Adorable. Absolutely adorable. At first I was thinking sunflowers, but I didn't know if I could make it work with our orchard wedding + our colors.
I love, love, love how your flowers turned out. You did a great job!
WOW just beautiful! I was just wondering, when did your flowers arrive? Were you worried about them wiliting? When did you actually put together the arrangements? I would LOVE to DIY flowers/centerpeices, but I'm such a worry bug I'm afraid about things going wrong/not having enough time etc.
@Bride2bejc-- Sorry I didn't reply to this earlier! I forgot to subscribe to this post!-- I had the sunflowers and yellow roses delivered on the Thursday before our Saturday wedding. We put the sunflowers out in the sun in their buckets to open on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. My BMs and I picked up all the rest of the flowers on Friday afternoon. We assembled the bouquets and floral centerpieces on Saturday morning and put the fruit centerpieces together on Friday night.
Our wedding wasn't until 6:30PM, so we had time to get them all completed the day of.
Fantastic! I love the little round yellow ones, they add a nice little touch.

I know many Bees are trying to DIY their own flowers, and I had a difficult time trying to determine what a reasonable budget for flowers might be, so I thought this might be helpful to others. Our flowers and centerpieces weren't hugely complicated or elaborate, but they fit nicely with our rustic wedding.
My total spent on flowers/centerpieces: $370
Included in this breakdown:
-1 bridal bouquet
-1 toss bouquet
-3 BM bouquets
-5 bouts
-2 corsages
-10 floral centerpieces
-10 fruit centerpieces
