I just finished my guest book (except for a title page), so I thought I’d share.
Every page has 6 pockets on it in which guests can place the co-ordinating cards I made with their wishes/advice/whatever for us. I cut all the pockets using my Cricut (Bridal shower cartridge) and I made the cards myself using two different stamps. The pages are colour co-ordinating and all feature purple somwhere since that is our wedding colour. I was going to make them all the same with different pockets, but my FI suggested I do it the way it ended up.
Once we have a final guest list I am going to put people’s names on the pockets and they can hunt through the guest book to find where to put their cards.

wow- looks amazing! great job!
Two suggestions- first, print extra cards (people will mess up), and second- I would make it a little easier for your guests. I think *you* should put the cards in, at some point after the wedding- someone might be a no-show (hopefully not!!), lazy people might not want to look for their name, etc. Maybe a basket for people to leave their cards in? We had cards at every place setting, and my MOHs went around to collect them. Our DJ also made announcements about them, and most guests filled them out.

@rebwana: Oh I made lots of extras 🙂 We’re expecting about 80 guests, but I made somewhere around 120. I know not everyone will do it either – and some couples will probably just want to do one between the two of them.
I originally had wanted to just let people put them in any pocket or in a basket, but then my fiance got attached to his idea of putting names on the pockets. I’m still trying to talk him out of it 🙂 I will have to make a note to remind myself to have our DJ announce it.
