Why yes, it IS just after 3:00 am in Marysville and I'm wide awake posting photos of my DIY invitation suite that was JUST COMPLETED! I'm really excited to show these off and hope they go over well with our guests.
My favorite part of these is that they are very texture heavy. They have heat embossing, ribbon, jewels and textured cardstock.
The inserts are both double sided - the advice birdie is on the backside of the RSVP card - driving directions and additional info are the two sides to the second card.
The paper for our wedding has been my favorite project so far! Let me know what you think!
P.S. My fiance loved them and (for the first time since we began planning) has offered to sit and work on these with me. I'm so impressed with him right now :)

LOOKING FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! absolutely fabulous! great job!!
Gold star for you!
Wow, these are gorgeous, can't believe you made them!! And I love the bird theme going on, with the two bird phrases, tooooo cute!
Those are amazing, great job!!! I'm finding the paper part is one of my favorites too!
Wow. That must've taken FOREVER! They look wonderful. Great job!
These are very pretty! I love the bird graphic!
@stephinPA: HA! I have ONE done. The one you see here. No joke. It's going to be very labor intensive but I'm set on the design, so I completed my 'model' one to show off!
The paper is from three sources - I bought deeply clearanced invitations from Michaels (Martha Stewart Gilded Frame Invite Suite) and used all of the envelopes, the invitation paper and the side that has the RSVP on it. I'm also going to use the programs and escort cards out of those later. The purple paper is from Paper Zone and the green is two colors of cardstock from Michaels. The darker cream paper is basic cover stock from Staples. Cheap cheap!
I'm going to post another post about materials, budget and cost when I'm 100% done. I think people are going to be surprised at how little they cost to make.
Thanks for all the feedback everyone! :) Made my day!
They're beautiful! I would definitely hang on to that invite if I got it as a guest. Have fun putting the rest of them together -- glad your FI is going to help!
I'm really hoping we get back plenty of the RSVP cards with the advice portion filled out. I want to put them in our wedding scrapbook. :)
These are beautiful! I'm sure your guests will love them I especially adore the "A Little Birdy Told Me" cards!
So so pretty! I love the colors and birds of a feather theme. I can't wait mine are almost complete too. So satisfying!
They are incredible! I *wish* that my DIY invites will turn out that well!
@Future Frett: I'm still debating on whether or not to open an Etsy shop to sell invitations (including this design), so that is the reason there is no tutorial yet ;) I plan to wait under after my wedding in October to make that decision. If I don't, then I will absolutely do a tutorial for everyone as a recap! :)
I will warn everyone that I no longer can have a bow because it cost an additional 58 cents postage to have it tied that way. I ended up just tucking in the ribbon.
They were too thick so USPS considered them a 'package' not first class mail. BOOO HIIISSSSSSS...
