I am in the middle of doing up my invites and want a fairly simple look to the front of them, however I do love my bling! I think I have looked at them for too long and am now completely indecisive.

Which invite do you like the best (sorry the pictures aren't great quality, its late at night here)

    1. Scalloped Edge

    2. Ribbon Edge

    3. Ribbon and Scalloped edge

Very cute! I voted for the scallopped edge and ribbon.

Is there any way to better fold the paper? It looks a little uneven. I ran into the same issue with the thick cardstock.

very cute! I definitely love the ribbon and scallop.  Please post the final product! I'd love to see them :)  They look even to me- but it's hard to tell from the picture. If you're having trouble maybe score them first?

I voted scalloped. Only add the ribbon if you can make it stay where you want, not flying in the wind or moving all over the paper. I've got a lot of DIY invitations in the mail over the years and the ribbon makes it look tacky & homemade because they didn't stay where they were supposed to :) Good luck!

I think just scalloped looks a little unfinished.  Ribbon and scalloped looks great. I put my straighteners on a very low setting and ran it across my ribbon on my invitations so there wouldnt be any creases.

Any tips on making ribbon edges not fray? I have decided that I prefer the scalloped edges with the ribbon, but have taken onboard the tips about them not looking too homemade.
