how do u make it show the pics and not only the links??
oh well i guess u have to click on them??
I got the envelopes from paper-source.com in chartreuse 6.5 x 6.5
the liner is wrapping paper from paper source
the sand dollar is a paper punch out from martha stewart from micheals
the petal fold is from paperandmore.com in aqua lagoon stardream
the green border is a notecard from paper-source which i had to cut off about .25" to allow the petals to fold properly
the white part is metallic white linen cardstock from paper and more
i printed it with an inkjet printer sprinkled the embossing powder on all of it and heated it with a heat gun
i did everything in Word and was able to get 2 invitations, 2 rsvp and 2 reception cards out of each 8.5 x 11 cardstock
add a rhinestone for seahorsey's eye
the 2 cards are backed with aqua lagoon stardream cardstock and i pucnched out the little seahorses with another martha stewart punch from the chartreuse notecards
sorry i reposted this i'll ask them to erase this post i don't know what happened there are 3 attachments the same.....
they look really amazing! I would think that you definately had them done professionally and somewhere expensive! They are beautiful :)
Those are really great. I can't believe you were able to emboss them after using an inkjet printer. That's genius!
I dont think you need to add anything, and i think they came out really gorgeous!! Great job on your trial, i think they go perfect with your wedding being all beachy, ecspecially love the sand dollar
May I ask what type of embossing powder you used to make your invitiation with?
I really like them! They look professional! The colors are awesome!
They look fantastic! I never thought about embosssing after printing...I have to try this out!
make sure u use metallic paper/cardstock, so it doesn't suck up the ink, and also under printing preferences, set the quality to 'best' so that it uses the most ink.
These are gorgeous! They definitely look professional. I'm planning on making my own invites and this is great inspiration that it can be done beautifully. I had no idea that you could print on metallic paper with an inkjet printer. Every site I go to says to use a laser printer. That's good to know. Thanks for the how-to!
@meelabeela u will have to emboss if u use inkjet on metallic, i found out the hard way the the ink never dries....even 2 months later
OH ALSO...rub the paper with a used dryer sheet before putting it thru the printer and hold it by the edges when u take it out....the embossing powder will stick whereever u touch
Your invites are absolutely wonderful! They definitely look professionally done. I love the texture the embossing adds. Did you just use clear embossing powder? I went to Michaels the other day and was only seeing coloured embossing powder but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.
Those are adorable! I love the petal invite. Mine are petal invites too!
yes i used clear embossing powder for the seahorse and DETAIL clear embossing powder for the words
I'm impressed that you can emboss on metallic paper with an ink jet. Those were great hints. I guess wearing gloves when handling the paper helps too!

We're having a beach wedding, the colours are aqua and chartreuse. I made this trial invitation,
do you think it looks ok? missing anything? too much of anything?
My favourite part is the embossed seahorse, i know i will regret it when I start to make the real invitations, but i love it!
