Thank you! Yay!
In case anyone was wondering where those sashes did come from, I found them at formal-invitations.com
They look great! On a sidenote, if your wedding isn't at a church (I don't know if Magnolia Lake is a church or not), it should say "request the honor of your company" not presence. The word "presence" should only be used when speaking of a wedding held in a place of worship. I know this because mine's not in a church :)
You are so lucky to have a supportive fiance for your projects! I think think the invitations would look great, another background color to explore would be that sage color in the leaves.
That paper is great, yuo can use it for cupcake covers, programs, runners, etc.
o that is darling! good job! my hubs to be has been super supportive also with everything so hi-fives all around for our supportive men!
Very cute! I don't know how many invites you need but it looks like it's not a project that would be impossible for a large number.
This would be way cute if you lined the envelopes with the same patterned paper as the sash.
I think they are very cute. Love the floral patterned sash.
I like the idea of trying it against a different color card (you could even mix it up and do some with one color and some with another) and lining the envelopes with the same patterned paper.
My only recommendation would be to do the rest of you type in a serif font instead of a sans-serif. Maybe a Garamond, Goudy, or Baskerville? I think it would relate to your script text better and enhance the vintage theme as they are more traditional typefaces.
They look great! I really like the sash pattern!
I LOVE THIS IDEA! I bookmarked it for us. We used a sash of black, sparkly scrapbook paper on our save the date bookmarks, and this would be a perfect way to incorporate our STDs into our invites. Love it.
I like the fabric sash too. I think maybe you should try a few other background colors. BTW, you are getting married in Colorado Springs? That's where we used to live!

My fiance has actually been really supportive of my DIY projects, which thrills me because I figured he'd be a little grumbly about all of the work it involved.
So we have decided to make our own invitations. The wedding is still 7 months away so I'm just playing around with the design. I found some paper sashes in a cute print that really matches our vintage garden theme... I am thinking a simple layer invite with pink metallic cover paper with a light creme to print on and then add the sash.
I want to know, honestly, what you think!
