I'm making menus for each place setting in our colors (red and light blue). I am going to print these on white paper and affix them to a larger light blue piece of cardstock so they have a light blue border. So this is where I need your help. Initially I made the menu text both red and light blue (picture on left.) One of my BMs said it might be a bit hard to read the light blue and suggested just red text (picture on right). So, which do you prefer? Or can you suggest a 3rd option?

And feel free to share any other comments or suggestions about the design.

    Thank you!

By the way, this is the complete look I'm going for (but light blue instead of lavender).

    Those look awesome!

I agree with your BM though that the light blue is a bit hard to read on the small text... did you try reversing the red and light blue? It might be easier to read the larger headers in light blue (maybe with a shadow or something) than the small menu text. Or, you could try printing off the versions you have - sometimes things look hard to read on a computer screen, but are perfectly fine when they're on paper.

Nonetheless, I think that the all red menu - which is very legible! - on a light blue background would look great!

My colors are ivory, navy and blush. So, my menus are ivory paper, navy descriptions, and blush titles. The blush isn't as legible. Sooooooooo I would def go with the one on the right cause you can't read the one on the left.
