The idea is super cute! Instead of the fabric backing, I might get a matte cut with two openings; the top one for the photo and the bottom one for the quote. That will give it a more finished edge and shouldn't be too expensive at Michael's/Joann's.
Not a bad thought. I think it actually looks better in person. I've been analyzing it like crazy. The photo doesn't show that the glass is actually more like a shadow box than just a flat frame.

I am not a DIY person... at all. What do you think? It's an 8 by 10 frame with fabric and printed the quote... attached photo with velcro for height and to be able to change the photo as events in our life happen. It's more center than it looks because of shadow.
