You did an excellent job! Would have never known it was DIY. I think a brooch on the bracelet would look great too... make it a true set. Nice work!
I can't see the picture here, but I found the image on google when I was looking for jewelry like this. Can you PLEASE tell me how you did it? I know that you're wedding is fast approaching and you're probabaly super busy, but you know... when you get a chance! :) I'd love to copy cat your project; it's a beautiful necklace!
Could you please tell me how you made this too? I really love this necklace and I found a brooch I'd like to use. Thanks!
Oh man. I'm not sure I could really describe how I did it. It was a lot of trial and error.
Here are the finished pics:

I started out with a long pearl necklace and a brooch from a chinese trading co. here in town.
Then I bought some clasps, rings and some clamshell crimps from Micheal's.
I just cut the beading to the desired lengths, crimped the clamshells over the ends of the string the pearls were threaded on and loops the loop ends over the clasps and the ring. Then, I simply pinned the brooch on between the pearls. Supre easy.
I hope that made sense. If you want further clarification, you can PM me.
The clamshell things look like this:

I just wanted to show off my DIY necklace and bracelet set I made! I'm so proud of it. I saw similar stuff like this on etsy, but the cheapest one I found was $85. Too much. So I bought a brooch and a long strand of off-white pearls from a chinese trading store nearby and some clasps and stuff from Michaels and went to town! The set cost me about $12 all together.
What do you think? I'm thinking I might get another brooch for the bracelet.
Haha. Dont mind the ugly yellow blanket over the window. My neighbors were being obnoxious last night and shining lights in the window, so I threw it over my blinds.
