    Hey Bee's!

So they say "3 times a charm"! After my 3rd attempt of making centerpieces for my purple & brown wedding I FINALLY think I got it right. The first two I did were a hot mess and looked too "busy" and tacky. I followed all your advice and decided with a romantic feel with water, rocks, flowers and floating candles!

My final look will have *Larger Rocks* and lots of *Tea Light Candles* around the 3 Vases. My Linens are going to be a *Satin Plum* Color at my Wedding!

I was inspired by this professional picture I found online!

Here are my DIY Centerpieces I made today with my tall vases. 20inch, 16inch and 12inch. What do you think? You can be honest! Love advice from the bee's! Innocent

Thanks Menobride! I think I'm finally "getting it" lol. My first attempt was all over the place, I had sticks in one vase, water in another and something different in the third.

Those are really nice! I have the same question as @SoontobeMrsA. If they ARE fake, they look real!

Whew, I'm glad they look real haha. I figure once they are under water..who can tell much anyway? Or maybe I'm wrong... who knows.

I really like them! But I would cut the middle one just a teensy bit shorter so there isn't so much stem at the bottom. But they are really beautiful I want blue and purple orchids in my bouquet and I LOVE floating centerpieces!

    Thanks so much girls!

Thanks LovingMisterBarger for being honest, and I agree with you! Great tip! I will deff plan on cutting it shorter so it starts with flowers instead of the stem. I'm hoping it will all pull together better once I add the bigger rocks and take away the smaller ones. Also have more little candles around the vases will add more *glow*. :)

That is exactly what I was wanting to do but with cherry blossoms. So happy to see it looks so good. YAY! Obviously I love it.

I agree with one of the previous bee comments about cutting the middle stem shorter so the flower isn't touching the candle and is more toward the rocks.  they are very lovely!

@April_Fools_Bride: where did you get the orchids?  This is def something I want to do for my centerpieces as well.  How many vases are you putting on the table?

I got the Orchids at an Arts & Crafts store near my house in Philadelphia. They are "Real Touch" Orchids. More expensive for "fake flowers" but still better priced than real orchids. It was about 6.99 an Orchid. I used two for 3 Vases.

I'm having 3 Vases per table. One 20inch, one 16inch and one 12inch.

I love them! My centerpieces are going to be similar.  I am very surprised by how much the candles light up the flowers!  Very Nice!

You did a SUPER job!!  The only recommendation I have is one that my florist mentioned.  When filling the vases, be sure that each vase has the same amount of water in them (i.e. 20 in. has 17 in. of water, 16 in. has 13 in. of water, and 12 in. has 9 in. of water).  She said that the symmetry of the water makes for better reception photos!

    Great Tips!!! Thank you girls!

I'm so glad that I finally have the centerpieces figured out and can begin buying all the materials to build 10 tables of them. I have around 35 vases already (3 diff sizes). Now just need to buy the rest of the flowers, floating candles and bigger rocks.

Nice! I'm doing centerpieces like that too, except with cylinder vases. I was gonna use real flowers, but now that I've seen yours, I'm reconsidering fakies.
