    What do you think? I scavenged them from the river bank, sprayed them with clear polyurethane spray and wrote the names with an oil paint marker.

    Those are great! I was thinking of using black rocks but my handwriting isn't nearly as cool as yours!

    I'm planning on having them at the table already on the place setting, and then I guess I'll have either a seating chart or someone directing ppl to where they are seated

    Awesome and so creative!! I think you should put them on a table and have the table number written on the bottom of the rocks. Then they can grab their rocks and then find the table either way awesome idea!!!!!

    Your stones look gorgeous!!  We did river stones as escort cards too, but my handwriting isn't nearly as lovely as yours.  And super great idea spraying them with polyeurothane!  Ours made it through the wedding, but rubbed off a little on the trip home.

    I wrote it lightly with a pencil first to see if I could fit the name, then I went over it with the paint marker.
