Hey everyone; well like the title said: Today I received our DIY Save-the-Date cards that we (my FI) designed, and we used CardsandPockets.com to print them out!
I don’t work for Cards & Pockets or have any association with them, I just decided to use them for my STD’s based off of reviews I’ve seen here on the ‘Bee 🙂
And I wanted to give anyone who was considering them, my experience, and I have photos of the finished product.
This is how they arrived, all bundled up with a cute sticker 🙂
I’ve provided pictures of the finish of the card: it’s matte. I was hoping that one side would be shiny (like a postcard is normally,) but I’m not disappointed. My FI actually commented that he prefers the completely matte look
And a picture to (attempt to) give you an idea of the thickness. We ordered 20 cards – it’s pretty standard, sturdy, postcard thickness:
My experience with them was great. Originally we had designed our cards to have borders on both sides, which they cannot accommodate because of the way the printing process works. The border on the front is sliiiiightly crooked, but I doubt many will notice.
They have online chat available so if you get stuck along the way during your purchase/order, there’s someone to talk with directly who can help you. For 20 postcards, it cost almost $20 ($19 and some change).
Now I’m excited to use Cards & Pockets for our invitations! Although still nervous as hell about designing them… but at least I have a few months to relax before then.
