So, I decided to do a mockup of a few centerpieces. I’m going for a romantic, shabby chic look. Lucky for me my grandmother has an awesome collection of antique silver and is more than happy to let me use it. Although, it all needs a good polish and I’m not looking forward to that part.
I did buy the clear cylinder vases from Dollar Tree, the candles from 100candles.com and the faux mercury glass candle holders from Save on Crafts.com.

Love these! Let me know if you have anything you want to sell after. I am getting married in November and this is kind of what I am doing as well!

@futuremrsmendez: Glad it’s not only me! I don’t want to polish our silver cutlery because I think it looks nicer with a little tint, it’s obvious that they are in use and loved. However, FI always goes “Oh, I should really remember to buy silver polish” when we use them. I make humming sounds, pretending that I agree, but I certainly don’t push the question. So far we’ve lived together for four years and he has never got to it – so I hope it will stay like that!
And OP, the silver jug in the second photo is to die for!

Thanks ladies! They really came together well. They tarnish does add to the “shabby” part of the chic!
