what about using tealights or other short candles in glass with the same diamond gems inside?  That would tie them together.  You could get different kinds of glass for the candles (maybe even at thrift shops for a vintage look), or in bulk from a craft store if you want a more uniform look.

Or, you could get inexpensive clear glass cylinder vases, have the same gems in the bottom and use the gems to anchor a submerged flower in the same colors.

Or have the submerged flower and floating candles.

These type of centerpieces use only one flower or one stem of flowers so they are usually reasonable in cost.
