- Wedding: October 2012
So the fiance and I discovered an amazing local brew shop called Lancaster Home Brew. Couples can sign up to a wine workshop where they get to brew and bottle thier own signature wine for their wedding! Great for favors but even better to add a personal touch to what usually is considered the budget friendly option of a beer and wine only event.
I did not want my guests to think we were being cheap by not offering cocktails and the guilt was getting to me. When we discovered Lancaster Home Brew all my worries were put aside because we now have an amazing signature wine to share with our guests and a fun story to tell!
We are brewing a white merlot and an exotic fruit shiraz. The fermentation process will take another week or two before we can go do the next step.I can’t wait until we get to bottle it! Here are some pictures from our first workshop:
Cleansing the bucket!
Fi adding the yeast to our Shiraz!
Fi admiring our first batch!
Me adding yeast to our 2nd batch: Eat it up little guys!
And now my favorite part: The labels! They include the original artwork I designed for our invites! *So Proud* (Invitation post coming soon!)
PS- If you want quality fade-resistant, water-proof water bottle or wine labels go to bottleyourbrand.com. The prices are phenominal! And if you’re not graphic design savy- they have some very tasteful, modern templates!
