Oh my goodness!! Is that just from brushing her?! I am sure she is happy to just get rid of that coat, like you said! :)
@Jenny and Saeliz.....she is such a cutie pie.
@quiche....Yes....my arm was tired from brushing. I usually spend about an hour a week brushing her but since we are transitioning from cold weather to warm weather she was shedding like crazy. I couldn't take it anymore so we had a marathon grooming session where I tried to comb everything out at once.
oh wow, I am impressed by your dedication! My corgi gets a lot of fur and I have to bathe and furminate him, but its nothing like that :)
I have a lab/golden retriever mix, and he sheds but nothing like THAT. Even with the Furminator I've never gotten piles THAT big. lol....but then, he has a lot less hair than a Chow. What a pretty girl! In the first one of her, she looks so regal!
I laughed out loud when I saw your pile of dog hair! its the size of my cat! my dog is in desperate need of a good combing
Aww, what a cute dog! I have been getting that much fur off my horse each day I groom her, and more is still coming! It's a pain but you gotta love 'em. :)
Super cute pup! I've been brushing my dog nearly every day. Gobs and gobs of hair coming off each time and there's still hair EVERYWHERE in my apartment.
Thank goodness he only sheds once a year....

I spent two hours yesterday combing out my chow chow Kyra in order to rid her of her GIGANTIC winter coat. She was extra fluffy this past Winter because it was extra cold outside. She actually endured it (when she usually runs off and hides about an hour in) which let me know that she was itching, hot...or just darned ready to stop hauling around all that fur.
The pile of nasty fur:
She is still fluffy but definitely more manageable:
....any other bees with dogs that are a chore to groom??
