Geez, I’m sorry that sounds like a rough dream.  I hope it’s a one time occurance.

I have really vivid and scary dreams too.

When I was younger (like 10 year old) I dreamt about being murdered in a room with white walls and white tiled floor that had a drain the the middle.  The murderer was a man dressed in all black clothing with a mask over his face.  I was watching over my body as he cut it up into tiny pieces.  The white room eventually turned almost completely red with my blood.

But then, I also have dreams that make me laugh so hard that I actually wake myself (and my FI) up because I’m actually LOLing in my sleep.  😛

It’s funny how dreams work- Some people have such vivid, crazy dreams and others don’t rememeber any of theirs.

I have really vivid dreams, too – although lately they’re been revolving around wedding planning (which is strange because I’m still almost 2 years away – if I’m having stress dreams about it NOW I’ll be in for a treat later).

@StefLovesJamie:  Ha!  It could have definitely been something you ate.  😉  Also, unfortunately, most of my dreams are terrible.  :/  I never really thought about it much, but I’m pretty sure I suffer from some sort of night terror problem that started in my teens.  Although they’ve almost stopped happening every night, I still wake up terrified 3/4 times a week.

One thing I remind myself of is “It’s just a dream.”  Nothing I’ve ever dreamt has come true (thank goodness).  Maybe a hot cup of tea and a couple deep breaths will help clear your mind a bit?

I always have super vivid dreams that I ALWAYS remember, also.  So I empathize!
