    Hello bees!

    So i had the call that my dress arrived 6 weeks early which is awesome, so i scheduled my try-on appt. Fittings wont start for another few months. Anyway everything was great, it fit and will only need minor alterations (woohoo!).

    HOWEVER, i was going to wear a pair of 4 inch heels which I purchased last week. When i tried the dress on it became apparent that the length was already perfect, with flats it possibly needed to be taken up another inch - inch and a half. So looks like my 4 inch heels are out! So now i'm on the hunt for a shorter heel which i'm a little sad about, i really wanted to wear my pink high heels :(

    Is it a silly idea to keep the heels and use them for all the "getting ready/glamour/garter" shots and then change into a shorter heel for the ceremony/recpetion (i.e. while i am actually moving in the dress)

    Thoughts?

    Thank you!

    I was thinking about getting two different pairs of heels, I was going to walk down the aisle in the heels and just slide out of them when I got to the end haha (my FI is only a couple inches taller than me) and use the heels just for pictures really. I found a pair of 2 1/2 inch heels that I loved, in exactly the right shade (hot pink!) so I decided that height was fine and I'd just wear them the whole time. If you can't find shoes that you love that will fit with your dress (I had to pay extra for extra length just to make sure the dress was long enough even in flats) then I don't think it would be a bad idea at all to use the heels for pictures. Especially since you've already purchased them!

    @brklynmmbb: I'm at the other end of the spectrum!  I wanted lower heels and not stilletos, since it'll be outside, but the dress is sooo long!!!  ARGH!  And I really don't wanna have to hem it, if I can keep from it.

    I say if you have the shoes, keep 'em for photos, especially since you love them!  Could you wear them for other things, too?  Or is it solely for the wedding?

    Also, I don't know about you, but my feet hate me if I'm walking around on heels that high after a certain time period.  So, having a shorter, more comfy pair for later really isn't a bad or unreasonable idea.

    @Zinzerena:

    yes i Could def wear the shoes to other things. I think I will keep them for now.

    My dress arrived!!... but... : wedding dress shoes heels ZKCU106 MAIN

    My worry is when I tried the dress on the girl gave me a pair of 3 inch kitten heels which were def too tall. She said a 2 inch heel would be just about right but I have a feeling 2 inches might be too high. However on my scouring of wesbites I haven't seen any heels with a 1 inch, 1 and half inch heel, so might possibly have to get flats.

    But, like you say, the positive is my feel won't be killing me by the end of the night!
