I LOVE THAT DRESS!! I was actually admiring it on a preowned website and was like woow!! wish I was engaged lol!!
@leelee: you have to post pictures!!! what size are you (may I ask?) I'd love to see it on a fuller figure (like me lol) to see exactly where it cuts etc...
Im considered a full figure girl..Im a street size 12-14 . my hips measured an 18 when I got measured at Priscilla of Boston.....when I went to try on the sample, it was a 10, so in wedding world..an 8! I was like stuffed into it like a sausage..the girl said "oh, we'll make it fit even if I rip it!" I was horrified! it definately looks better on someone with hips than the model pick..its fit to flair..so hips show..which I don't mind! I love my hips!! I'll post pics of me in it when I get it!
Jumping up and down!!!! OMG HOW AWESOME?! I am maybe a size larger, I'm more of a 14-16... Btw, did you order it already? Once wed had our size in it... I cannot believe I am showing it but maybe Karma will be good to me and I'll try it on love it and then you'll sell it back (talk about serendepity lmao!)

I actually was stalking this dress since August and didn't try it on until last Sunday! Then...by fate...a woman who was selling hers had contacted me to see how I liked it...she had the dress in a size 14, already had the french bustle and everything..so I bought hers!!!! I told her my size and she assured me it would fit....even if it's a llittle tight..it will motivate me to lose the weight I want anyway! She had it professionally cleaned and it's being shipped to me after Christmas..she's sending it to me after she inspects it one last time! I plan on selling mine after our wedding...i won't need it and hope to pass it on to someone who loves it like I did!

@leelee:omg it could be fate... but the size 14 isn't going to do it for my arse and hips lol!!! depending on when he asks and when we set the date, it could definitely be kismet... what color are you getting it in? if you say ivory then we know something special is happening :D
LOL IVORY! I'm making my hips fit in that dress if I have to wrap myself in Saran Wrap for the next 9 months or punch myself in the face so I have to sew my mouth shut!!! A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!! Trust me...I will make it fit!!! plus..my seamstress said that the dress can go out a size or two...!
GET OUT?! okay i have never tried it on but a few weeks ago i saw the link and was like hmmmm unfortunately at 1000 it was like nah i could buy another dress brand new for that price... btw i am about to pm you :D how wide is the hip on the 14? i guess it's not bad to ask just in case right lol... besides surely i'll be engaged by sept... lol!!!
I don't remember how wide the hip is on the 14 but Im pretty sure they wanted me to order a 16-18 because of my hips.....the woman that sold me the dress said that she was confident I would fit into it as she had plenty of room and it wasn't snug on her....of course, she could be just saying that..but I have to be positive and figure since I crammed into and zippered into a 10, which was really an 8, i think I'll be ok in the 14.....if not...it's time for me to get serious about my weight and do something about it!
I saw the one you're referring to...If you can try it on somewhere, call first to see what the sample size is...if they say a 10, be ready for an 8....if you try it on and like it...offer less to the woman who has it for 1000....she's had it on there for a while...
@Leelee - We are twins. That's my dress also. YAY!!!
My ivory "Jules" arrives the last week of January 2010. I am so excited . . . I can't wait. I had the same experience with the sample dress during my shopping trip. I had to squeeze my size 10/12 behind into that dress, showing all my lumps, bumps and packs (not 6 packs)!!! And the mirrors in the salon are not kind . . . especially, when you are standing right next to another bride who is super skinny and fits perfectly into her sample sized dress. Speaking of fitting . . . The way I have been eating this holiday season, I hope I can still fit in the size 12 dress that they took measurements and custom-ordered for me.
As someone who is an ole married lady renewing her wedding vows, I did not want a princessy, ball-like gown. So when my mother and I saw "Jules," while shopping for dresses, we knew we had found the one.
Are you planning on wearing a veil? Because I plan on wearing the collar up, I am leaning towards not wearing a veil. Right now, I am thinking of just having a nice flower in my hair and calling it a day. Decisions, decisions, decisions . . .
BTW, I was in Macy's today and I bought a brooch to pin on the knot.
@chocolatedelight; by the way, I love that name!!! OMG I'm laughing at your post...I too had rolls coming out of rolls...but I was so happy to be finally trying on that dress and was semi impressed I even was able to zip it up..of course the girls were hanging out the top of the dress..couldn't button that up! My butt was so flat it looked small!
I'm leaning towards a birdcage veil and some serious pearls..like multi strands of them in a choker fashion. I love the brooch idea!!!!! It's such a unique dress, this is my 2nd wedding and I just fell in love with it from the first time I saw it....I too am wearing that collar up! that's one of the reasons I love it! Gotta rock that collar!
heck i gotta get engaged first lol!! btw i pm'd you for sizes etc... lol if i get married it will more than likely be after you and well it gives me time to lose weight as well...

a. Arrives safely and in one piece
b. Fits over my lovely hips without ripping it
c. zips without ripping out an organ
d. allows the "girls" to be covered and buttoned!
@leelee: you have mail right back... love the birdcage idea but omg i think a drop veil with a feather fascinator would be my way to rock it... (without me trying it on... i think a local shop here has it though and i could try it on there)....

@Leelee - There is a story behind the CD name. One of my older cousins Angeline used to call me "Delight" when I was a little girl because I was a joy to be around. When I met my husband, he took the name up another notch, saying he loves chocolate and because of the hue of my skin, I was his Chocolate Delight. . . I love the pearls idea. Go for it. I agree - let's rock the collar, baby!!! Let's definately keep in touch . . . and bounce off ideas with each other. I am so glad to finally find someone who is also wearing the same dress as me.
@Crebre - Come and join the party. I am excited that you are seriously considering wearing the "Jules" dress. At the rate we are going, we may have to call ourselves the Jules Girls/Jules Divas!!! Engagement vibes and prayers are being sent up right now . . . I am keeping my fingers crossed

That was my dress & I absolutely LOVED it! It looked crazy on the hanger, but then when I put it on, it was instant love!
