I LOVE it! That is one of my fav dresses! It looks amzing, anything you are worried about alterations will fix but I think you look great!
It is ALL in your head. You have a perfect hourglass in that! Very balanced and proportional, not hippy. Please feel pretty in it, because you look like a knockout.
Woman, you have curves, and they look fantastic. Tell the insecure part of your brain to shut up.
These style dresses are SUPPOSED to give girls curves especially in the hips, but no I dont think its too hippy.
Agreed. I think you look great and have a perfect hourglass shape!
Hot mama! Woohoo! The dress looks amazing :) And you rock the curves you have, so tell that head of yours to get with it.
Okay, I'm going to be completely honest with you: it's in your head. You look AMAZING. Serioulsy. Amazing, fabulous, gorgeous, MAGNIFICENT.
I love it. I think it gives you a really awesome shape!
You look AWESOME in it! It hugs your curves in all the right ways!
I really don't think you look "hippy" at all! You have a very nice figure and the dress shows off your curves----Beautiful!
I ordered the same dress in ivory! It should be here by December. I ordered it a size bigger so i am nervous about the shape around the hips too cause it comes in smaller at the drop waist area....i also want to do the sweethear neckline so if you don't mind I will show the alterer your pic to know what I want. You look great...it gives you a hourglass figure. Did you keep the back zipper or did you go with the lace up? Also are you wearing a underskirt under your dress to poof it out more? I am debating that as well cause i am wearing flats with my dress (my FH doesn't want me taller then him :) ).
You look great!
I agree with the others, its in your head....BUT i also want to say that i totally understand. I have the same issue. My hips are bigger than my waist and its my main paranoia that my hips look too big. out of the pics i see above, its only the middle one where i could see where you would be anxious about looking "hippy", but as an objective person i can say you look AMAZING.....its called an hour glass figure, which is actually considered SEXY and womanly. so just remember that when you start to notice your hips too much.
huh? what? what wide hips?? you look GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!
I kept the zipper back. When I first went dress shopping I thought I wanted a corset back dress, but when I tried this one on I loved the buttons. In the pictures I am not wearing an underskirt, but I am borrowing a trumpet underskirt to try with the gown at my first alterations session. I want the ruffles to be a little more poufy and defined. The bridal shoppe saleswoman said the alteration lady may be able to add more tulle to the bottom so I wouldn't need to wear the underskirt. I am also wearing flats since we are getting married on the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!

I got a call Friday saying my dress was in and today my mom and I went to try her on. I really love the dress. I tend to carry my weight in my hips and I feel that I look wide in the dress. No alterations have been done and the hip area needs to be taken in. Hopefully I will look less hippy after the alterations. What do you think bees? Is this all in my head?
