Ok ladies…I loved the dress whenI tried it on at the salon but then I had major doubts when I got home. First of all, I am not girly at all and didn’t get the reaction I expected from my family and . . I thought I couldn’t pull off a mermaid dress It was a trunk show so I was worried I got wrapped up in the princess feeling at the salon and made a snap decision. Everyone told me that doubt is normal and when I try my actual dress on I’ll know I made the right decision. Well, I liked my actual dress on at the salon but when I got home the doubts came again. I am open to any and all suggestions so please be honest. Buying a different dress is an option so I want to know what other people think. The first photo is the sample without the sash or veil. The second is the actual dress in my size with the accessories. (I have lost a few pounds between the two) Sorry if the photos are too big…I don’t know how to resize them. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

MrsGraves59: Definitely wear the sash. It helps define your waist.

I think it looks gorgeous on you, especially with that sash and veil. That being said, if you are having serious doubts to the point where you are uncomfortable in the dress, I would get a new one. You should feel comfortable and beautiful on your wedding day!

This dress has everything I was looking to avoid when choosing my dress – strapless, mermaid, bling. I was prepared to hate it and when I saw the first pic I was kind of meh about it. HOWEVER, with the belt and the veil I think you look beautiful!!
You don’t specify why you’re having doubts about the dress – is it the style, shape, way it makes your body look, have you seen something you prefer? If it’s just a lack of confidence, take it from the bee, you look great!

You look stunning.
How does it feel moving in the dress? Are you physically comfortable?

I agree with everyone who thinks you’re crazy and that you look great. Your waist looks super small and the whole look is perfectly proportioned. The belt looks pretty too. The only potentially off thing I notice is the veil is hitting you right at the waist, somewhat detracting from your gorgeous curves there. I might consider a longer or shorter veil to really show off your shape and the dress.
