My FMIL owns her own bridal boutique. I found the dress I LOVED! This was back in July, so for my wedding present she was going buy me my dress. She ordered that week… but apparently she didnt call the company like she said she did to make sure the color was right. It came in and when my mom picked it up she didnt even think it was the same dress. My mom didnt tell me until she showed it to me because she didnt want me to dress. But now I am so stressing and so upset. I know I have a long time before my wedding and it will totally be in in time. It just doesnt even look like the same dress, and I dont think it is as pretty as before. Sorry for venting, I was so disappointed when I saw it.

I’m so sorry the dress is wrong! It’s great that you have a FMIL in the business so she can pull strings to fix it for you! It will all work out I’m sure.

I’m really sorry about this. Like MissAsB said, you’re lucky she is in the business and can make sure you get your dress in the right color. You still have 6 months left, you should be able to get your right color dress in time for any necessary alterations. Good luck!

Send it back and ask for it to be ordered in the right color! It sounds like, since your FMIL owns the shop, it’ll be easier for you to do that then it is for many people. Good luck! Sorry about the color mix up!

Ugh, I’m so sorry this happened to you! It must be so stressful. At least you know that your FMIL will make sure that your dress is exactly like you want, so that should help work everything out.

Im sorry that happened! LIke other posters said, you have plenty of time to get the right color which you love – maybe your FMIL can rush order it for you at no cost?
