it does look off to me, like the poof starts too low. i think if you want a ballgown, have the poof start higher or if you want it more a-line, get a less poofy crinoline. you look great in it though!

I agree with @elliestan:. You look great in it, but it all depends on the look you are going for. I would play with the slip a little bit to see if you can get it to look the way you want.

I think you look great in the dress…. maybe take out a crinoline?  it looks amazing from the back when it’s flatter… i love bodice.

I think the front looks a little poofier that the sides of it. Do you have more undergarments on in the front than the sides? I think it is only a TINY BIT. I think it looks nice.

I love the dress! I personally like a lower drop waist and then a poofy skirt.  I dont think it looks funny at all.  It looks beautiful.  Who is the designer?

all you need to do is switch the crinoline out for a different one.  If it’s built in, just have a seamstress fix it so the it starts right under the bodice.  Otherwise, it looks great.

i almost don’t wonder if part of the problem is the fact that it’s not properly pressed? when pressed, I bet the pleats will fall the way they’re supposed to, which would help with where the skirt poufs?

@katyd1024: i thought that too, it looks like it could use a press but i’m not sure if that’s the root cause. it only looks off in the front (and it’s only slightly so), so maybe it all just needs to be straightened up/pressed a bit so that the pleats direct/control the poof. :]

Question – did you take these photos with a flash? If so it might be the flash that makes the fabric look different from what you see with the naked eye.
