so i walk in to the shop for my first fitting and the first thing the lady says is ” you have lost weight !!!
we could tell by her voice she was not happy with the fact ..
she says there is no way you dress is going to fit its way to big !
so they put me in my dress and do it up and it is huge on me.. . the lady’s freak out as my dress is very detailed and you would lose a lot if they bring it in to much . but they find a dress in there shop 3 sizes smaller . i have lost weight but not a lot ! so i don’t think that would make me lose 3 dress sizes . i freak out as they do the dress up and THANK GOD if fits !
so im not sure if maybe the lady measured me wrong or that tiny bit i have lost helped but it sure did give me and my mum a very panicked few minutes as they looked for a smaller dress .
if the new dress did not fit my dress would of lost so much detail and with the wedding just over a month away i would of had no choice .
so did any other bees have dress heart attack moments ?

I had a heart attack moment when I saw pictures of me in the sample dresss. The sample was “well loved” and just didn’t have the poof I remember in MY dress. Once I put my dress on again I felt much much better.
The general rule of thumb is 10 lbs = 1 dress size. So unless you lost 30 lbs and didn’t know it then maybe they measured wrong. I like the way the place I bought my dress from sized me. They got dresses from the same designer but in sizes close to me and asked which fit better. My dress still came in too big in the chest but that’s easy to fix. Rather too big than too small! I’m glad they were able to find one that fit you though. Do you have pictures?!

Mine was also during my first fitting. Even though I ordered split sizing to accommodate my pear shape, only the hips fit play and everything else was way too big. This made me look as wide as my hips are throughout my entire body, so I looked like a big box! It was awful and I definitely cried haha. But they took it in and it ended up being fine. Yours wi be too! Good luck and try not to worry 🙂
