Your dress is so pretty! And I love, love, love your theme! You’ve found your own Mr. Darcy, how wonderful is that?! 🙂

Honestly, I don’t think I’d make the dress into a full mermaid/fit and flare or add anything to it. I don’t see Lizzie Bennet wearing anything too fitted, it nothing else! lol I don’t see it with a sash either, except for maybe a very very thin sparkly one – but even that’s not necessary, really. Your dress is quite elongating and since you say you’re short I think that’s wonderful.

It seems from the pictures though that your dress is a little too big, actually. Or maybe it’s just wrinkled and should be steamed? It’s a little hard to tell.

Oh, and please wear your hair up! Show off that gorgeous back. Something like this? She’s wearing a headband but I think a veil would not look amiss either!

Beautiful dress, and I love your theme. I vote messy updo over polished updo (I think it looks more youthful and romantic) with an antique-style hair comb or headpiece and veil. You could also do a lace-edged veil if you want a more traditional look. I think your dress is lovely without a sash, but no harm in trying a few on!

I love this dress!  I would not put a belt with it personally.  I think it would look way too busy if you did.  You look great in the dress.  It looks like it fits perfectly!

This is the kind of hair I’m doing.  I personally am not a fan of up-dos, but thought I’d share in case you like it. It will have little diamond pins in it.  It’s “half-up” and kind of off to the side, so it would leave plenty of space to admire the neckline! 🙂

@mtb117: Beautiful dress, I love the detail, think I must have seen you in the sample? I wouldn’t have a belt with this dress as I don’t think it’s needed because of it’s detail. I’d try on different crinolines with the dress if you haven’t already to see which look you prefer. Hair style wise I can it being curled – Catherine Middleton style and it being half up, elegant hair for an elegant dress. This was my head-band, I loved it, not too big, just enough
