So I went in to David’s Bridal on Sunday (2/26) to try on dresses and found one that I absolutely love! I ordered it and they gave me a date in June for its arrival, but today I got a call saying that my dress was in and ready to be picked up! Should I be worried that it might be one off the rack from another store since it’s only 6 days from when I ordered it?

I wouldn’t worry about it as long as the dress is clean and the right size. Go look at it right away, so any problems can be fixed before your wedding

I wouldn’t worry. I ordered mine from Anfred Angelo and it came in in about a week. I agree with @msfahrenheit that you should check it out ASAP though.

I wouldnt get worried shipping is fast and places like davids bridal probably have a stock of off the rack sizing ready to go and things ship fast.

David’s never guarantees that their special order gowns are freshly cut and constucted. This is sometimes the case with the newer gowns, but not always. The other two possibilties are as you suggested that it was in stock in another store due to another bride or what have you. The other possibility is that they have them already cut and constructed in the warehouse and are able to get it out ASAP. They like to under-promise and over-deliver when they can and this is one of the areas that they excel. My gown was ordered October 20 and I was told it wouldn’t be in until December 30–it arrived November 4. It was in prinstine condition except for the new gown smell.
