depending on the cut of your dress, an appropriate bra (strapless longline is pretty standard, but if you don't have that, whatever you think you may be wearing underneath) and modest underpants; wouldn't recommend bright colors =)
This might help... pic
I don't want to wear a bra if I can avoid it...
If you don't want to wear a bra, let them know at the fitting! Just keep in mind, the seamstress or alterations people may be seeing more of you because of that then you might be comfortable with. Are you going to be having cups sewn in/etc?
lol... lets be honest... there isn't a whole lot to see. haha!
But this is the kind of thing I don't know.. cup sewn in? hmm.. possibly. Do I need to bring anything for this?
you may need your shoes that you'll be wearing in case the bottom needs to be hemmed :D.. if you are wearing a corset or anything like that, definitely bring that in.
corset you probably don't need because you are tiny, but it cinches in your waist and gives you more of an hourglass figure. seriously though, i don't necessarily know if you'll need one because you are small, did the dress have inner boning? for example when you put it on did it zip or tie on the inside and then again on the outside? (it may already have an inner corset)
It didn't have boning and it was a zipper.. I am pretty hourglass to start with. I wondered about spanx to smooth everything out..?
I think spanx and perhaps borrow a corset from the seamstress to see which you like the best and try both on. That way you can tell the fit etc that you enjoy the most.
Honey, you don't need anything. I'd avoid wearing any undergarments you don't want/need. I wore underwear on my wedding day (my dress had cups sewn in). I was completely and totally comfortable all day long since I wasn't laced in, strussed up, squeezed, smoothed, and whatever else is done to women's bodies. You look great in the photo, now go find a pair of cute undies! :-)

So I got the call yesterday that my dress is in!!! Sooo excited :)
My first fitting isn't until January but they told me I need to have my undergarments for the wedding day and my shoes to bring to the fitting.
So I have a question for you ladies.... How do I know what I need? Is there anything special about wedding day undergarments?
I am so new!
