I picked my dress up a few days ago, and after intense scrutiny of my dress search pics, I’m not sure I made the right decision.
My dress is pic #1. Yes, the lighting is terrible. It’s not nearly that shiny in person. Yes, it was taken from below, the most unflattering angle. Sure, it needs to be pressed, and it doesn’t help that I’m wearing the wrong size bra. But all that aside, I’m not sure it’s as flattering as some of my runners up. In person, I love it. In pictures, I’m not so sure. An unfortunate side effect of bridal shops that won’t allow you to take pics….
Dress #2 is the only one of my runners up that I was allowed to take pictures of. It’s not nearly as ‘me’ as dress #1, but I’m not sure that it isn’t more flattering.
Thoughts? Should I *gulp* consider a 2nd dress? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you like #1 better go with it. They are both very pretty and you look great in both of them.

The first dress makes you look taller and thiner. The second dress makes your eyes go directly to your midsection. Plus the first one is more classic and will still look good 20 years from now. The other maybe not so much!

Oh I especially like #1 on you! You should go with whatever you feel the best in but I love the one you already have.

Definately the first one. It accentuates you in all the right places. I am sure that once it is altered and pressed, you will love it 🙂
I am not a fan of the type of cut the second one is. I tried on one similar to that one, and I thought it made me way too hippy. So looking at the one you are showing us, that is what comes to mind. It still looks really nice on you, but it does accentuate your hips more.

I like dress #1. It flatters your figure so much better. And it is beautiful. I think you made a great choice.

they both look great! if you were to bring in the first a little on bottom (maybe its just positioned wrong?)
and the 2nd one if u took it out a tad they both look stunning though

Just so you know, you can still kinda see your face in the mirror behind you in the first picture. The two dress look very similar. Both dress are very similar but I think the previous posts are right that you look thinner in the first dress. I tried on dresses similar to the second one and I do feel sexier in them since it made me feel thinner because I’m full figure and not much fitted dress looks great on me. Maybe that’s what you’re feeling as well? In the end it’s got to be how you feel in it.

I think that #1 looks a little better on you – i really like the skirt on the first one, second not so much..but then that is my opinion 🙂

You look great in BOTH dresses, but I really love number one!

I agree with everyone else. Dress #1 is more flattering. It hits your hips a little higher and really makes your waist look great!

The Anjolique 1010 was my first dress! I actually ended up changing my mind and becoming a 2-dress bride. On you though, i really do think it’s more flattering than the 2nd dress. However, you should love your dress so if you are able to get another, then I say go for it. But make sure you are really sure you want to get a 2nd dress, and not just having the normal jitters.

I think dress #1 is gorgeous on you! 100%.. You are just having the, very common, second thoughts, like you said. You look fabulous in that dress! Dress #2 is, meh. Keep the first.

I have a similar body type as you, and I think you definitely made the right choice! Dress 2 really emphasises the stomach area in an unflattering way, whereas dress 1 skims over that area just in all the right places. It might be worth playing around with the pickups of your skirt during alterations, as moving them sometimes makes a big difference to the overall shape of the dress. Wonderful dress – you will look gorgeous, like a princess…
