So I just got the email I have been waiting for… my dress is next in line to be made and can I please send measurements! Quick quesiton though.. cause the lovely lady making my dress is in the states… should i send measurments in millimeters or inches? Being an aussie we work metric, but I know americans use imperial measurement systems
I am so excited!!!
I have posted allready about it, but i cant help it!!
the original design had a cowl neck and lots of little flowers which i didnt like…
after a bit of back and forth, she made some changes (which i love even more) and swapped the flowers for beading!
The beading for the back is almost finished.. just have to add a few more pearls/beads to finish it off.
She will also be making a matching juliet cap veil! Im so excited yet nervous at the same time!
Here are a few pics of my etsy dress journey so far…
from this neckline and flower details….
the almost finished back detail with revised neckline design…
and the artwork for the matching juliet cap veil…
I know its not in everyones taste, but man I am so excited and in love!!!

thanks guys, yeah it not very big on detail and is quite simple, but thats what I love about it. To me, the clean lines and hints of detail that makes it beautiful. I love how understated the front is yet the train and detail on the back adds a touch of drama. Im not a huge fan of the OTT ball gowns or dresses with lots of ruffles and details. Dont get me wron, they are beautiful, just not for me 🙂

It’s not something that I would choose for myself but that doesn’t mean that I cannot appreciate its beauty. It is a gorgeous gown – love the clean lines, the sleek silhouette and the addition of the lace detailing. The cowl neck softens it and compliments the fabric used. It’s going to look phenomenal with the Juliet cap veil.

im not the skinniest girl in the world either (aussie size 12), but im going to rock this dress with confidence.. I have had a couple of kids, my hips are wider than they used to be… and im curvy. still, im not going to let that stop me… thats what spanks are for!
