So my wedding was perfect and so much fun but my dress paid the price! People stepped on it and pulled the bustle out so there are holes and everything. And im not sure how i feel about preserving it anyways since its kinda like then what?? So my friends mom makes dresses and i was things about having her cut it and making it tea length. It was pretty simple so I think it would be cute. I could take out some of the tulle underneath so it dosent poof as much and then I could wear it for our anniversary. He bought his suit he wore too that way he could wear it for that! So give me your opinions. Below is my dress!! Thanks!

Sounds like you have some good ideas! One thing I thought of was making a baby dress out of some of the material. That is the sort of thing that could be passed down through the family for generations to come 🙂

It would be adorable tea length…maybe you can even add a little color like a touch of green to match your wedding colors.

My FSIL had the same dress, and her Husband pulled out the bussle as well. I think it would make a really cute little tea length dress. = )

That would totally work tea length. Or you could do a Trash the Dress shoot considering it’s partly trashed already…

I think it would be very cute as a tea length dress and yes you could use the rest of the dress for something memorable.

I think it would be so cute as a tea length. You might even consider dyeing it.

Tea length sounds cute! I also like the idea of doing a trash the dress shoot, since you won’t care so much the condition the dress is in! Could be fun…

You look gorgeous! I think the dress would be great as a tea length or even knee length. I was planning on saving the material from my train (I had it shortened) to give to my future MIL as she loves to quilt. Maybe you could do something like that. You get a dress and something else to remember the day by!

*sighs dreamily* Your dress is SO gorgeous. And I think that if making it tea length will get rid of the hole problem, then it’s an AWESOME idea. =)

Forget tea length, go skinny to the knee!

You look beautiful in your dress! Sorry to hear about the dress damage – I agree that it would look very nice tea-length. Perhaps the extra material could be used to make an heirloom to pass down to your daughter one day – i.e. the lining of a handkerchief, or garter?
