@honeyhalo:  You could see if you could have a seamstress add a lace back or chest panel and remove it for the reception?

I do see your issue here – it looks difficult to play with…

I think the main thing is that it looks like such a classic piece – why not switch up something else – will you remove your veil? What about adding statement jewelry? What about hair down for the ceremony and up for the reception?

Just throwing out ideas – but I am thinking you could chnage the look without needing to alter the dress?

I would take off the veil and do a big sparkly headband or hairpiece.

@honeyhalo:  i don’t think there is much you can do with your dress but you can change your look with different accessories (jewellery/headpiece/veil) and hairstyle.

@honeyhalo:  are you wearing a veil? You probably don’t need anything other than that if you are

I agree with PP’s… you could try a bolero or having a removable piece added (I was thinking removable cap sleeves even).

Another idea would be to change your hair (I am planning on wearing hair up with a veil for ceremony, and then taking it down for the reception) by wearing a different hairstyle or jazzing it up with a loud hair accessory (a headband, a sparkly barrette, a flower). You could also switch up your jewelry.

@honeyhalo:  I don’t think so, and actually I think it would be better without the headband because you don’t want to overdo it
