Thank you so much! Everyone always tells me I'm too over the top so I really tried to go for something... not so over the top. :) I've been a bit worried that it's boring so any affirmation of the contrary is more than refreshing!
Beautiful! I love the neckline! Are you definitely against the belt? Maybe not something as big, if you hate it, but I loved that it gave you even more definition of your waist. Esp. since the dress is poofy (which I love!!) It looks amazing!
@Kenic315- I am against that particular belt and hadn't planned on wearing one at all. But now that you mention it... I think I love the idea of a thin belt! I hated the big one. I never even thought about a little one! That didn't even occur as an option! What kind do you think would look nice? Thin and sparkly, perhaps?
Looks beautiful!! You definitely picked the right dress. And your story-telling cracked me up.
You ladies are so awesome! Can I get some belt related suggestions? Should I look into a belt(other than the one pictured)? What kind do you suggest?
Gorgeous dress you chose, and I loved looking at the pictures and reading your story - I really felt like I was experiencing it with you ^___^
Awesome choice!!! I loved the Maggie on you...until I saw the Enzoni...its PERFECCT!
not even the best spiel could get me to buy that big ass belt....HAHAHAH that is cracking me up. You're funny. And gorgeous. I love all the pics and the dress you chose is perfect for you!! I'm not into random appliques either. I do think you could go with a belt if you don't like the thick one maybe just get a thin belt of the same width with some bling !?
you look amazing great choice in dress... love it :) , i no what you mean with sales poeple everywhere i went they threw wraps and gloves and old looking lace jackets etc im like i live in brisbane one of the hottest state in australia , not interested lol
gorgeous! sorry to be a pain though but I think the belt looked great- maybe you could reconsider it - perhaps with something more subtle but to give the waist definition
@Mrsvbtobe: I definitely am starting to see that a belt could be great with this dress. I just really really hate that one :( It's like a half an inch thick. I felt like I couldn't put my arms down straight without grazing it. I can deal with a lot of things but I simply was not going to have that shiny black monstrosity scratching off my arm skin. No way. Maybe if it even sat more flush to the dress... But I think you're right about a belt in general. I just suck at picking these things.
Wow, you look stunning in all of the dresses!!! Each picture I looked at made me think "ooooh" lol. Great final choice!!! Congratualtions!
You look stunning! Its such a great choice! I personally haven't found anything that tops it. Im looking into buying it second hand. Would you sell your dress or keep it?
@kirstylynne- I'm keeping it :( But I have seen quite a few ladies selling theirs!
I love your dress! You look gorgeous! Did you ever decide about a belt? I feel like a thin one would suit this dress very well! And I think more poof would be even prettier! :)
@Jenlon- Ah, you see my vision :) I want my dress to be as poofy as possible. Sort of ballgown-ish. I'm also pretty set on a thin belt. When my real dress gets in I'll play with possibilities. :)

So... Dress shopping was a long and arduous process. But I came out victorious, I think :) Most of the boutiques I went to didn't allow pics so I tried on about 75 more dresses than I have pictures of :)
My camera seriously washes me out, I promise I look worlds better in person. And I have no idea why the pictures are sideways but plan on Googling it to find out :)
Dress 1: I have no idea what dress this is. Lol. It's super blurry
Dress#2 is Maggie Sottero's Destiny(I loved that dress.) It's funny, I really wanted a ballgown but being that I'm 4"11, even Destiny(which is a mermaid silhouette) looked full on me. :)
Dress #3: This is Allure for sure... I'm not sure which though. I called it the Octopus Dress. Loved it for someone else, just not for me :)
Dress #4: This dress FELT good. I know that it doesn't LOOK good, but it felt very bridal. I've always wanted a heavy dress that I could pick up in front of me. I don't know if that makes any sense... It just feels so nice to pick up my dress like a little Victorian lady. Needless to say, this dress was immediately vetoed despite my love of picking it up in my hands and swishing it around. C'est la vie. :(
And.... Lastly.....
MY DRESS!!!!
Enzoani Erin!!!
This is it as it comes...
This is it with a veil and the poofiest crinoline they had in store(still needs more poof for me!)
This is with a belt the sales lady tried to convince me wasn't distracting (I'm looking at the bow on this dress and thinking "Why the eff is this here?" Seriously... it's like the most random bow in the world. It looks like an accident. I had them take it off. It cost $200 to get them to take that random bow off. It's like an iron on applique. Geez
This was after I told the sales lady that not even the best spiel could talk me into keeping that big ass belt.
So... That's it! I am so glad the process is over. It was a ton of fun but I don't think I could do it again.
