My dress is scheduled to come in within the next couple of weeks and I’m sure it’s perfectly normal for me to be a little anxious about its arrival. I still love the dress but am starting to think it may need a little extra something. So I’ve been brainstorming and am thinking it would look nice with a silk taffeta sash and flower. My bm’s are wearing silk taffeta dreseses…so it would all tie together.
The sash would follow the same lines as the second row’band of tulle that hits right at the hips. I’m thinking that because the sash would be in that same spot…it won’t mess with the proportions and design of the dress.
I’d love to hear your thoughts…do you think this would work?

Hmmm, I’m a fan of sashes, but I don’t know about having it at your hips… seems like that would be a weird place to put it, instead of at the smallest part of your waist to emphasize your body.
Because you have such a sweet, lacey dress, I also think that maybe a flower accent somewhere might be even better. Just my opinion!

LOL…I meant to say waist. Not hips…that would look weird! 😉
I like the idea of a flower accent. I was thinking of adding that to the sash too.

I think your dress is lovely – – very elegant. I wouldn’t add a sash or a flower. I would wear a hair fascinator, and dress it up that way. Your dress has really beautiful lace detail and I think all you need is jewelry to match the delicacy of your dress

First, you look great in this dress! I like sashes and added one to my dress but he cut of your dress doesn’t seem as though it would fit a sash well. How about some jewelry that adds the pop?

Such a beautiful dress and it looks great on you. I’d looked at the dress a few months ago as a possibility. It’s really great to see it on an actual person. One suggestion is maybe a some bling (like one of those belts) right below the the top band? But it is beautiful the way it is, so maybe wait until you get it and see how you feel. You may not think you need it after you have it on again.

Thanks so much for the comments…and compliments. I think I may try a mock up of my sash idea at my first fitting. Just to get an idea if it will even look good.
